BOOK OF THE MONTH - APRIL

Standing In The Rainbow, by Fannie Flagg

We meet Wednesday, May 6th, 8:00 p.m. at Dori Hill's apartment.

We're spicing up our discussion!
Our Host for the month will give us a FYI on the author, then head up the discussion of the book with questions for us.

So when you read the story you might ask yourself:
1. "What character do I identify most with?"
2. "Are there any characters or scenes that remind me of someone or something in my life?"
3. "What is the theme of the story?"
4. "What does each character want?  How do they overcome their weakness and get what they want?"
5. "Are there any symbols in the story?"
6. "What kept me connected to the the book?" (example- characters, plot, or genre.)
7.  Or any other thing you might think about while you read!

See you all soon!  Enjoy!

BOOK OF THE MONTH

Let's go ahead and do a book this month!  I picked one of my favorites.  It's perfect for February/Valentines because the theme is unconditional love.  I hope you all enjoy it!

February Book:
THE HIDING PLACE
by Corrie Ten Boom

THE BOOK CLUB IS STARTED!

FIRST MEETING:
AUTUMN'S HOUSE ... MARCH 4th ... 8:00 p.m.

Hey Girls!
I'm excited for our new book club.  I've talked with a few people and we've decided to meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 8:00  Here's why...Monday night is FHE, Tueday night is YW and Activity Days, Thursday night is Ward Missionary Meeting and a popular night for showers, and then of course weekends are always unpredictable.  We chose the first week of the month because it's easy to remember.   If you think we should change it to 8:30 because of bedtime then we can do that.  I was thinking that we could start it at my house and then rotate.
For our first get-together let's come with ideas of how we want things to run.  I'm excited!  It's going to be fun!
